Hello, love! I’m Laura Coey and I want to welcome you to Hello Love Photography. I am so glad that you are here.
My husband and I, along with our twin toddlers, live in a suburb of Minneapolis in a home we purchased from my parents. It was our dream home and it has given us such joy making it ours little by little. I find such inspiration for my art in the process of making our house a home.
We spend a great deal of time in the Brainerd Lakes area of Northern Minnesota at the cabin. It is this family time that I cherish, spending time together creating memories. We love playing in the water, relaxing on the boat, playing games and watching movies. It is actually by the bonfire were most of my business dreams are made into plans.
Each day, I am blessed to spend slow mornings with our twins playing in the yard or in front of the fireplace reading. Scarves and sandals are usually a part of my daily attire, as I try to wear both year round. Half of my days are spent wondering if it is too late for coffee or too early for wine.
My heart for creating has spread into the fiber arts. My hands always need to be making, creating, doing. So I have taken to making wearable pieces and textiles for my home. Knitting and weaving are meditative and have become therapeutic for me. And also a great source of inspiration for my art through the process of creation, texture, and design.
I have always rather enjoyed a good story and while I would rather read a physical book, in this chapter of motherhood, I simply cannot stay awake for it. So for now, audiobooks and podcasts will have to do. I am always looking for great suggestions, so please CONTACT me with your recommendations!
